In Loving Memory of Michael Moshe Mizrahi

Montreal, June 23, 2026 The Montreal Jewish community is mourning the loss of Michael Moshe Mizrahi, 68, a beloved suit shop owner, devoted father, and longtime community member who was tragically killed on June 22, 2026, in a shooting in Côte-des-Neiges.

Originally from Lebanon, Michael lived in Israel before settling in Montreal. For more than three decades, he owned and operated Le Suit Lounge, a respected men’s tailoring boutique known for high-quality custom suits, expert alterations, and personalized service. Customers remember him not only as a skilled tailor but as a warm, generous gentleman who always had a kind word and went the extra mile to help people look and feel their best whether for weddings, interviews, or important occasions.

Rabbi Mendel Raskin of Beth Chabad in Côte-St-Luc, who knew Michael for over 30 years, said: “Everybody loved him.” He described him as a generous Jewish man deeply respected in the community. Michael was a regular at the Chabad MADA center and touched many lives through his kindness and strong presence.

He is survived by his son in Montreal and two daughters in Israel. His memory will live on through the legacy of his shop and the many people he helped over the years.
